the wind was ridiculous today, so i opted for layers, knowing that the wind would find a way to make me cold. not sure what’s up with denver weather lately, but it’s been 60 one day and 40 and wacky windy the next. most certainly not the worst of weather, but not ideal either.
cozy sweater, a hint of floral on the denim (channeling spring), and chambray to balance it out. warm and fun.

thank you, forever 21, for these booties. the perfect little heel for height. the peek-a-boo sides, which means they can go from spring to summer to fall to winter (just add tights). and with a rolled up denim, it makes this outfit a little rocker city chic.
oh, and, there’s that chambray again. sorry i’m not sorry.

plan on me wearing this fur vest every week. it’s just terribly versatile and fun and warm.
and also, this chambray tunic. also makes an appearance every week. also because of it’s versatility. it’s super easy to dress up or down. in this case, i went for a “dress up” with the aforementioned faux fur vest, one wolf wet leggings, and studded wedge booties.
want to dress it down? pair it with ballet flats, remove the faux fur vest and layer a cardigan or sweater atop the tunic.

some of my favorite pieces in one outfit: tribal, chambray, and pink.
one of the easiest ways to tackle a tribal print pant? pair it with a neutral top and add a colorful shoe. simple, classic, chic, and fun. and, don’t let the tribal print scare you – they can be flattering.

i don’t wear these jeans enough. the velvet brocade detail is not only perfect for the holidays, but it adds the perfect level of dimension to any outfit. i opted to keep it a bit casual with chambray and a goldenrod-colored sweater. but, pair it with a flowy, black blouse and heels, and you have the perfect after-work outfit.

are you surprised i’m wearing chambray again today? because you shouldn’t be. but, i will tell you that i was pretty excited to wake up to snow this morning. i only wish it were more than an inch, but i’ll live.
with that snow comes boots. my fave black and brown pair from banana republic, that are actually a rubber material. so, perfect for snowy weather, but oh-so-warm. and, for an added pop of color? maroon skinnies from ag jeans.

because chambray. obviously. and, layers. and, puffy vests.
did i mention it’s supposed to snow tonight? all the more reason to wear leggings, layers and lace-up boots.

these plaid loafer slippers are probably one of my fave pairs of shoes. in fact, every time i wear them i forget they are real shoes and not slippers. and, let’s talk about the neon pink piping. because it’s the perfect detail.

it was one of those days where only layers were required, but no coat. my favorite type of fall days, really. and, since i’ve felt as thought i’ve been wearing a handful of muted outfits lately, i wanted to throw in some color with this orange “carpe diem” sweater. the shoes were an obvious choice, as a neutral pair would have just gotten lost within the outfit.

i layered on the madewell hardcore, with the exception of a few accessories. this is actually the first time i’ve paired to button-down oxfords together, and love the look, but after some thought, the one thing missing was likely a belt to help give shape to this layered look.
